Dedicated to bringing our prestigious club back to life, the Siddons Debating Club (SDC) is a passionate group of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students. Welcome to the club. Established in 1884 by the visionary Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the Siddons Debating Club is a cherished institution in our university’s history, acting as a lighthouse for critical thinking and leadership development. As SDC members, we understand how critical it is to uphold the heritage of our founding fathers and make sure that students in the future can take advantage of the platform they created. Our goal is to bring the Siddons Debating Club back to life so that students can once again take pride in the club’s illustrious history and forward-thinking journey, which was originally envisioned by its founders.
